Aria Darwin has always considered herself cursed. She is obsessed with finding a cure for the bad boyfriend plague. Worse yet, she’s in denial about her weird abilities and terrified of her mysterious stalker who causes the earth to quake violently with the snap of his finger.

With her two best friends, Aria enters her first semester of college armed with a “no more men” pact in an effort to demagnetize the sleaze balls. Unfortunately, the agreement proves difficult when she meets Liam, a charming foreign exchange student, on the first day of school.

Aria quickly discovers that Liam is not only Mr. Perfect, but he also somehow ignites her supernatural side. Upon the invitation of her dream guy, Aria travels to Ireland through the study abroad program, dragging her friends along with her. But her world of euphoric bliss quickly comes crashing down as she uncovers the truth about her past, revealing who she really is and what she was born to do.

My Review:

Six years ago Aria almost drowned and all she remembers is a guy with black hair. She doesn’t know if he was trying to save her or kill her.

Now, six years later she is headed off to college. She just needs to get away and maybe she can make herself do what she did years ago. A secret only she knows, an ability she has yet to perform again. She is also swearing off guys. She calls herself a jerk magnet, but when she meets Liam, who is anything but a jerk she can’t resist. The only bad news is she knows someone is watching her and has no idea why. The only thing she is certain of is her feelings for Liam. But then she learns about her parent and herself and everything changes. She doesn’t know who to trust anymore.

Aria needs to make a choice and this choice could be the life or death of her.

I finished this book in no time. It wasn’t short, but it kept me interested and when you are in a book time flies by. My only problem with this book was I knew what was going to happen waaaaay before Aria did. I felt like I was watching one of those Horror movies where the girl is going up the stairs and you’re like NOOOO Don’t Go Up The Stairs. I still wanted to see how everything played out though. I very much enjoyed it, finding out about Aria and the other characters. I loved the last part of the book the best. Things finally starting to pick up and the ending was great. It wasn’t a cliff hanger, but it still left you wanting more. I’m so glad I got to be a part of this tour which I am reviewing all three books. :D I don’t have to wait for the next one and can POP it open at any time. I can’t wait to start reading it and learn more about Fae.

Aria calls herself a jerk Magnet and well she is. The problem is when she is with her friends, she is herself and when she is with a guy, she lets him run all over her. That is, until Liam. She couldn’t resist his charms. Oh, and she is a major daydreamer and the book says she is always getting lost, but she always knew where to go. That confused me a little. Anyways, I liked her, but I didn’t feel like I connected with her. Hopefully in the next one I will.

Liam is an all around nice guy. He really cares about Aria and is very protective of her. When he finally becomes her boyfriend and as the story progressed he was more of a body guard. Aria’s words not mine, but you’d have to be blind not to see it. That’s all I’m going to say about him at this time. :D

Put on your seatbelts folks and get ready for a bumpy ride because you never know what kind of turns this book is going to make.

3.8 Stars

Author Bio: Jenna Bernel lives tucked along the bluffs, spending her days lost in the world of fantasy. When she’s not writing, she’s reading and drinks way to much caffeine to satisfy her love of both. Growing up she traveled extensively through the competitive dance circuit, unaware that at the time it would provide her future career an endless stream of inspiration for the captivating drama of Young Adult Fiction.

I enjoy all things travel, food and adventure.  While doing research for a trip to Ireland the idea for my book series, The Secret Trinity, came to life and would be the beginning of my greatest adventure yet.
